Same issue for the french translation

@devin Walker: the string is translated. But the translation doesn’t show, but only the original text. The topic should have been worded differently.

HI @westis I just triple-checked and that string is included in the Give .pot file correctly so should be accessible for translation no problem. I also tested with my own localized translation and had no trouble, see here:

My guess is that your translation file is not named correctly or perhaps not in the correct location. Review this doc carefully to make sure you’re using the correct nameing conventions:

I also have the same problem.

Actually, the problem can be fix by manually replacing the string on line 49 of the file shortcode-goal.php.

I’ve tried what you said Matt, but without success.

I’ve realized though that inside my wp-content folder, there’s a folder named Languages and within it, another one called Plugins. Inside this folder, there’s my localized files from Give.

Whether I delete these files and move them to wp-content/languages/give, the problem is still there.

I hope this can be fixed soon.

I see that those strings are not translated – “%1$s of %2$s raised” and “%s%% funded“.

not in French:

When translated, it will take up to 12 hours to update the translation files (using wp cron), to your wp-content/languages/plugins/give-{LOCAL}.mo.

@magellan456 Basically, if your language is NOT in the right folder, then it will rely on the version from translate.www.ads-software.com like Rami pointed out.

So it’d be BEST for everyone if you contributed your translation there, because then everyone benefits.

But if you need it locally, I would just say to triple-check to make sure of the following:
1) You are putting the file in the correct sub-directory: /wp-content/languages/give/
2) You have named the file correctly according to your language’s WP_Locale which you can find here:
