s2M BP signup question

Have s2m and BP running on WP with Sabai Directory. Everything runs fine except for one thing. People signing up clicking the wp-signup.php link in the login page are being redirected to /register/ which contains the paypal links for s2Member. When they handle that transaction they are returning to the same /register/ page and don’t have the ability to choose a username and password to activate their account. This is the free s2m version and sadly it has to stay that way. Is there a solution to this ‘loop’ someway other than going for s2m pro to allow a paid subscription the ability to sign up for the site when paid? thank you, this is frustrating
