• Can you clarify for me how/whether the grace period is tied to the EOT?

Right now, I’m using a custom PayPal button, and calculating a specific EOT date. That’s being set correctly when someone registers. When I set the EOT grace time, it adds that to the EOT date that’s stored for each member. Is there any way that the member’s displayed EOT date (in the Users view) can reflect the actual EOT date without the grace period, and while still having that grace period applied? In other words, if the EOT date is August 31st, with a 45 day grace period, the EOT date should say Aug 31, but the user won’t get demoted to Subscriber until 45 days later in mid-September.

Basically, my client would like to use the grace period but not have it be a factor in calculating the actual “EOT date.” I don’t believe that’s possible based on the way it’s implemented, but need to confirm this with you for their understanding.

  • I’m pretty sure your understanding is correct.

Equally, though, I’m pretty sure you could add something in the s2-hacks.php file in your mu-plugins folder to get what your client wants.
