    Hello s2Member Support,

First off, we would like to extend our gratitude and appreciation for making such an amazing plugin! We absolutely love it and couldn’t do business without it.

For our question: (we are using s2Member Pro)

We currently have 3 products on our website. Our main product and secondary product are being used with the s2Member Pro plugin, and provides access to a specific membership level. Our third product however, is simply a product that we ship, and do not require membership access for. Our question is, how can we make it so that our customers can pick and choose any combination of the 3 products simultaneously during the checkout process?

Thank you in advance for any and all advice/help/guidance.

  • Even though this is a membership plugin, it can also be used without a membership as in a one-time purchase. Did you read the details of the “Wrapping Multiple Shortcodes as “Checkout Options”” in the Pro-Form? And for each “product” or “bundle” create a shortcode to be used as in the Wrapping of multiple shortcodes.

    Hey Cassel,

Thank you for your reply. My apologies for not being a bit more specific. I guess what we are looking for is more of a shopping cart. So, if customer XYZ clicks to buy membership level #1, on the checkout page they will have the ability to add our shippable product to their checkout and pay for both the membership and product in one shot. Is there any way of doing this?

From what I know of s2M, it is not working as a cart system.

However, have you considered using some kind of funnel like on one page, have the 3 digital products/memberships, with 3 BUY buttons.
Then, the BUY buttons would actually be linked to another page, where there is the “upsale” of the physical product and two buttons with BUY or NO THANKS, and those buttons would either be coded with a shortcode for the purchase of one or the other, or linked to a pro-form with ONLY what they chose (digital only or digital+physical) with no drop down.

This is something I am actually in the process of implementing myself!

lol that is so funny, I was going to do that if this cart type thing didn’t work. You know if there are any wp cart plugins that will integrate pretty easily with s2M?

Not that I know of, unfortunately.

Wouldn’t this be easier to accomplish using iThemes Exchange and their membership add-on module, rather than using s2member?

There’s a video of how to get this combo working here by someone who’s very well connected in the WordPress world.

Not that I’m trying to put you off s2member; it’s just a question of working out how best to accomplish the particular result you are looking for.

Man, I wish we knew about iThemes Exchange lol. Would have saved us some time and money (still love s2Member). I actually have the developer version of GravityForms. I think we may be able to accomplish it that way, while sticking with s2Member (just trying to save a little money). If we make a GravityForm with PayPal payments pro, the user registration add-ons, and product selections, is there a way that s2member would be able to tell if the membership item was purchased? Any thoughts on this?

I love s2member too, and use it a great deal. I just doubt it’s the right tool for the job here. The iThemes Exchange membership add-on is quite new, and it doesn’t do what I use s2member for, but it looks like it’s more suitable for what you want to do.

I suspect that the money you’d save by trying to do this using Gravity Forms and s2member would be more than outweighed by the time spent setting it up and having to maintain it.
