  • I wonder if you haven’t set either the permissions or ownership correctly when you install the plugin, so that server won’t allow you to overwrite it from within WordPress.

    Not sure. But if you update and do not upload the /pro folder then it breaks the site (the signup portion at least).

    That’s why you need to check the permissions and ownership.
