First I installed UpdraftPlus and UpdraftCentral. Created and installed remote access key. Domain connects and is added. All good so far.

Then I try and create an S3 backup from Central. Enter access key and secret key and bucket. Test S3 – fail. Spend 2 hours pulling hair out.

Then Tried the same connection access credentials from the domain, Click S3 Test – Passes. Run Backup, check S3, backups are there.

Failure: We could not successfully access or create such a bucket. Please check your access credentials, and if those are correct then try another bucket name (as another S3 user may already have taken your name). The error reported by S3 was: exception 'Guzzle\Http\Exception\CurlException' with message '[curl] 77: [url]

    Hi,

Sorry for the delay, this has now been tested internally and we are not getting the same result.

Could you answer a few questions to help us track down your issue?

Is your UpdraftPlus and UpdraftCentral installations on different servers?

Does your UpdraftCentral installation now work with your saved credentials entered on UpdraftPlus e.g in UpdraftCentral if you press the S3 test connection button does it connect?

    Best Wishes,

    Ashley

This is probably related to AWS S3 outages earlier in the week.
