• I am working in temporary mode…and this is such a pathetic question- but how exactly do I know which page is my home page? I had dummy content loaded and am sorting through a mess of pages, but several look a like and I don’t see anything indicate what my actual home page is…

  • I don’t see a top menu bar.

    Go to dashboard
    Appearances and choose menu
Select primary navigation and home should be your custom page. Add all your other pages to this menu under home dragging and dropping to the right those that are sub pages.

That’s my reading of your question…..

It looks like you are using the “Ink” theme which if I’m not mistaken (and I could be, correct me if I’m wrong) is a commercial Theme, which WordPress does not support – you will probably have better luck posting in the support forum for that theme developer.

However, that said, generally speaking you set your “Home” page under Settings>Reading. BUT many commercial Themes override that behavior with Theme-specific settings. So if trying to control it using what you see in Settings>Reading doesn’t work, you’ll have to get in touch with the Theme Developer’s support.
