Sadly, Has stopped working

I’m one of the 5 star reviewers here and I’ve used and loved this plugin for several years. Yesterday, a client complained about a forbidden access warning coming up when trying to use the column button. I tried the button on a completely different site and got a “sorry page can’t be found” 404 instead of the column picker. Others have said similar things and there’s been no reply.
The authors website is down, the paypal link doesn’t work, the plugin hasn’t been updated in a year and he hasn’t replied to a support request in 6 months. Very very sad. I’ll be happy to take away this broken comment if the author will come back and help. This is really a last resort.
