saerch widget in the header

    Hello,
    I am wondering if it is possible to put the search field somewhere in the header.

    I can put the search widget in the sidebars and in the footer, but there seems to be no way to put it in the header.
    When I have a webpage with a slider on the frontpage (no sidebar) there will be no search widget on the frontpage.

    I assume, I would have to adapt some php code?

    Any ideas?

    There’s a snippet for adding a widget up there. You can hook on __after_header, __before_header, or __after_navbar.

    Hi ElectricFeet,

    thanks a lot for your howto and the hint for the hooks.
    I was able to add the search widget (I am not completely satisfied with the look and feel,yet – but that is another story)
