The code blocks are not visible on mac Safari/iPhone/iPad. They show correctly on mac Chrome and Firefox, and linux Chrome.

On Safari Version 13.0.1 (14608.2.11.1.11) with mac Mojave 10.14.16 the code block appears on the first load. After a refresh, they all disappear.

On iPhone and iPad they don’t appear at all.

I also tried a couple other code format plugins (which I don’t like as much as this one) and they had the same issue for these devices.

I’m running the latest version of WordPress which is currently 5.2.3.

I’ve made sure any caching plugins have been disabled and still have the issue. I’m wondering if any code fixes need to happen to allow correct display on these apple devices/browsers.

Edit: On Safari the pre boxes have a computed height of 0px, with the style tag on pre not having height added. When I start zooming in or out, the pre style tag adds a height and it displays. But it won’t display on the initial load.

    Thanks so much.

Hello and thanks for your comments and tests, but I’m not sure if it′s an error that happend only with your web or not.

Please try the same with a clean installation with new WP and default WP theme, or even on staging environment you can test with one default WP theme like Twentynineteen and no more plugins.

With this we try to rule out that it has nothing to do about your theme that maybe gives styles to pre tag or even collision with other JS in your theme or others plugins.

Thank you very much for replying.

I am still facing the issue with a clean install of WP 2019 theme + no plugins on a local environment using Flywheel.

Safari will occasionally show the code. Less than 50% of the time. iPhone Chrome/Safari did not show the code. On mobile first load the pre text quickly appeared without any formatting, and then disappeared.

Mac Chrome and Firefox showed the code correctly on load.
