• Hi,

In Safari, clicking on buttons such as link in the visual editor fails to bring up the dialog correctly. The screen gets a black overlay, but the dialog stays behind it. There is no way to do anything without navigating away from the page and losing your changes. I have to switch to the HTML editor to insert links with the OS dialog because the MCE dialog doesn’t work.

Anyone know how to solve this?

(note: no related logs in the console.)

I’m having the same problem. No idea what it is.

I usually end up doing “Inspect Element” on the overlay and setting the “display: none” so that I can enter the link.

From there it lets me apply the link but the link dialog remains.

I usually click “save” or update to reload the page.

Dodgy work around I know … but at least it means you don’t lose any content.

I can confirm this issue in safari 3 and 4 in leopard, wp 2.7.
