  • @adriyoga Thank you so much for sharing this video and those additional details!

Regarding the issue with seeing grey space on the bottom of your screen, what screen resolution do you have – 2560 x 1600? I noticed in your Site Health information previously submitted that you have 33 plugins activated. When there are a lot of plugins active it can make the admin menu excessively long and cause UI difficulties as you see. Note that we do have an open issue to resolve this.

For your other issues: 1) Media loading slowly and 2) Difficulty with workspace responsiveness, could you share the following details?

    – Are you using any plugin to store your images externally?
    – Could you check for any browser console errors?
    – Does this issue occur when you use an existing template, or when you create a new story?
    – Have you checked if these issues occur when only Web Stories has been enabled? To find out more, I recommend you to troubleshoot your site using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin and enable its troubleshooting mode. This way you can simulate using your site with individual/all plugins disabled, to find out if there are outside sources affecting the Web Stories plugin.

    Hello,

I don’t know what screen resolution I have… I have the new Mac Book Pro M1…

My website loads quickly and when I open pages, create new blogs, etc everything loads fast.

I noticed this when I’m using the Google Story plugin editor

`– Are you using any plugin to store your images externally?
NO. I uploading the media directly to my media library on my website from my computer.

    – Could you check for any browser console errors?
There are no browser errors… The only errors I get are for the breadcrumbs and my webstories.

    – Does this issue occur when you use an existing template, or when you create a new story?

When I login into the editor and create or edit webstories

    – Have you checked if these issues occur when only Web Stories has been enabled?
This happens only with the google edito for webstories

    @adriyoga Thanks for your response.

    – Could you check for any browser console errors?
There are no browser errors… The only errors I get are for the breadcrumbs and my webstories.

Could you clarify the browser console errors were checked versus any validation errors?
You can check by opening your browser’s developer tools (press F12) and switch to the “Console” tab?

Could you please share once more your updated Site Health information? You can share privately if you prefer.

I have a mac so I’m not sure how to do the equivalent of F12.

The other information has been shared using the private link you provided

    Thank you.

The equivalent to simply pressing F12 to open the developer tools would be to press FN+F12, or Command+Option+I in most browsers.

@adriyoga Checking in here –?are you still experiencing these issues? If so, if you can follow the instructions that @swissspidy provided to check if there are any console errors and share those with us, we’d be happy to take a look!

I opened that but I have no idea what I’m looking at or what I need to look for.

Yes, the breadcrums errors are still present in my Google Console for my webstories.

    Hi there @adriyoga,

Apologies for the delayed response. Can you try these steps for viewing your console errors?

    1. Open Chrome
    2. Log into the back-end of your WordPress site and open a story in the Web Stories Editor
    3. In the top toolbar on your Mac for Chrome, select View > Developer > Developer Tools
    4. A new panel will appear at the bottom or on the side of your Chrome window. You’ll see several tabs: Elements, Console, Sources, Network, etc. Click the Console tab.
    5. Take a screenshot of what you see in this tab –?it should look something like this: https://jmp.sh/CCgtzLk+/Screen+Shot+2021-07-15+at+2.10.06+PM.png
    6. Upload your screenshot and share the link here. The forums do not support screenshot uploads, so you can share one via a link generated by Imgur or JumpShare.

Let me know if you have any questions here!
