I had to disable this plugin a while back. My web hosting company said it was creating a lot of errors. I still seem to have a product catalog on Facebook and Instagram but I don’t think it reflects new content.

Is this this the only alternative for linking one’s site to Facebook, and therefore Instagram? I’m afraid to enable the plugin again. Was there a problem with a specific version?

I know someone will ask me what the errors were. I know I kept experiencing an “insufficient storage” message and couldn’t update pages. It had nothing to do with actual storage with my web hosting company. They searched and only said they found many errors with this plugin.

  • Hi,

If I understood correctly, your previous experience with Facebook for WooCommerce had issues. We are sorry to hear that.

I can understand your point, please note extensions/plugins in WooCommerce and WordPress are created to be modular. WooCommerce provides a Core functionality, and if you would like to add extra features to your site or store, you can install plugins. Please note, there are many plugins on the web and we can not control every combination.

Installing Facebook for WooCommerce should be not a problem, you can recheck that your installation is made according to these steps:

    https://woocommerce.com/document/facebook-for-woocommerce/#installation

If you were receiving errors, I recommend installing first Facebook for WooCommerce on a staging environment (we recommend WP Staging for quickly spinning up a new test site), that way you will not have to touch the live site until you are sure the errors are fixed.

Let us know if there are any questions.

    Hi,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – we’ll be here if and/or when you are ready to continue.

    Best.
