I have added sale prices on a few variations of a variable product in WooCommerce. It doesn’t show the ‘Sale’ badge (flash) on the product. If I add a sale price to all variations, it shows the ‘Sale’ badge as expected. Could someone please help me show the ‘Sale’ badge on a variable product even if only some of the variables have a sales price set. Thanks

  • Hi @mbuk89

    Thanks for reaching out!

Firstly, I apologize for the delayed response.

Can you please share how the Sale badge is being added to your site since this is not part of the core functionalities of WooCommerce?

If this was added thru a third-party plugin or a custom code, it would be best to reach out to the developers for further assistance here.

    Thanks!

    Thanks for the reply.

If I enter a ‘Sales Price’ on the Product page in the backend it automatically puts a sales badge on the product image area on the frontend.
I presumed this was a standard WooCommerce thing. It must be the theme I use that have added this functionality, I guess.

Would you be able to help at all, or would I need to seek support with the theme I use?

    Thanks

    Hi @mbuk89

Thanks for providing more context to your inquiry here.

Are you pertaining to the Sale badge like the image below?

If so, you are correct that this is part of the core functionalities of WooCommerce.

I replicated the scenario on my personal site: Variable product that all variants are on sale. The Sale badge is displaying:

Then, only one (1) variation has a Sale Price: Round Neck – Yellow, but the badge is still displaying on my end:

This kind of problem is usually caused by your theme or a third-party plugin present on your site. We can run a conflict test to verify this. I’d recommend cloning your site to a staging environment and performing the tests described on this guide without modifying your live site or impacting customers. Many hosts provide staging facilities, so it’s worth checking in with them. It’s also possible to do it using the free WP Staging plugin.

If this was caused by a third-party plugin present on your site, it would be best to reach out to the developers for further assistance here.

If this did not resolve the issue, please share your System Status Report, that will help us further troubleshoot.

You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it into your reply here.

If you could also provide the fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

Let us know how it goes!

    Hi @xue28 ,

Thanks again for your reply. I have deactivated everything (which I should have checked before I jumped on here to be fair!) It turns out it is a 3rd party plugin that is causing the issue, not my active theme. The plugin causing the issue is ‘WooCommerce Dynamic Pricing & Discounts’ by RightPress. There is a setting in the plugin that affects the outcome of Sale related information. When I change this setting the Sale badge appeared again as it should.

Thanks for your help with this.
