Sale Products and Top Rated Products Not Displaying

    I just installed Woocommerce and the default Storefront theme and have noticed that shortcodes [sale_products] and [top_rated_products] do not produce any products. I’ve also tried the additional method of [products on_sale=true] with no luck. I did elect to install all demo products for Storefront so product data is there. Also, the sale item section of the welcome page is not displaying. Has anyone encountered this or have any clue as to how to resolve this behavior? I haven’t installed any plugins beyond Woocommerce, and I haven’t installed any themes except for Storefront. I should state that I am a total newbie when it comes to Woocommerce.

    Well, to make a quick update, I added a fake product to my staging site and put it on sale and now “on sale” items are populating. I can’t really explain or understand that, but I’ll see if this same behavior holds true on the live version.

    Shortcodes all changed with WooCommerce 3. Check current WC shortcode documentation.
