Sales Tax Report by County

  • Anyone know how to generate a sales tax report by county in WooCommerce? I see the monthly sales tax report option, but nothing more. Am I missing something?

    My client is based in Florida, so she needs to collect sales taxes by county. It would be nice if she could generate a report that breaks sales down by county for the purposes of sales tax reporting.

    Any guidance is greatly appreciated!

    I don’t think you have enough information in the order to create a report like this, the order is only storing the 5 digit zip code and you need all nine digits for the kind of report you are talking about I think.

    I USPS has an address verification service that will get you the full zip code which would give you enough information to properly generate a tax report. Then you would need to know which zip codes cover which county and write a nice query to pull the information

    What I’m describing is not the work of a moment and is probably something you would need to confirm with a tax attorney before committing any resources to it.
