Sales Tax State remains embedded

  • Hello,
    All plugins and WordPress are up to date. Enfold theme.

    I am charging Sales Tax to WA residents only.
    The cart has defaulted to WA for checkout address, so even someone in CA is seeing WA Sales tax in cart. I don’t want sales tax added until checkout info is given and I have made those selections in WooCommerce.

    Please advise ASAP!

  • At Dashboard > WooCommerce > Settings > General tab, what is your setting for “Default customer location”?

    It had “shop base address” — changed it to “No location by default” — and, amazingly the WA embed is gone — but when customer puts in address, WA shows sales tax. I want to say something like “duh” — but I don’t want to put myself down too badly – more issues to resolve! Need to be strong! ??
