    Hi,

I started to use auto slat changer plugin for more protection, so I got this notification in the admin panel.

FluentSMTP Plugin may not work properly. Looks like your Authentication unique keys and salts are changed. Reconfigure SMTP Settings

So, is there any way to use a salt changer with FluentSMTP without the need to Reconfigure SMTP Settings every time it changes, especially if it changes every week?

    Hello @hassan0a,

The encryption used by FluentSMTP is heavily dependent on the unique SALT keys. Unfortunately, using an alternative method is not feasible at this time.

However, I’ve taken this case as a feature request and forwarded it to our development team. Your input on how this could be implemented would be greatly appreciated. This will help us understand your specific requirements and explore possible solutions.

Please feel free to provide any additional information or ideas you may have. We value your feedback and strive to improve our products based on customer needs.

In the meantime, if you have any other questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to ask.

    Hello,
I would just like to share that I also had the same issue.
As an attempt to solve it myself, I saved Access Keys in the wp-config.php file instead of saving them in the DB. Maybe this is a better alternative?
    Best Regards.

    Hello @ibrahimsharif

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I hope you find a solution soon, as changing the SALT keys is an important step to enhance WordPress security.

Unfortunately, I don’t have enough expertise to assist with this, but I hope the solution will be available soon. Thank you again for your support and understanding.

    Hello @alainmelsens

Can you tell me more about your alternative way, I didn’t get it, Hope you can help on how you did it?

    Thanks

    Best Regards.

    Hello @hassan0a
See: https://fluentsmtp.com/docs/set-up-fluent-smtp-with-any-host-or-mailer/ and follow the instructions at “SMTP Server Settings”.
There you can read how to add the corresponding credential or Access Keys in to the Config File (wp-condig.php) and not in the DB.
    Best regards.
