    Hi – I am using the non-pro version of The Events Calendar, which I have used successfully for many years, as I don’t really need the functions the Pro version offers.
    Since the updated release, if I enable the “Use updated calendar designs”, same-day events disappear at the beginning of the day.. They are still visible in the legacy view. I am concerned that on August 3 when the legacy view will be deprecated, my calendar will cease to be functional.
    I have checked for conflicts with plugins and my theme; the same thing happens.
    I have cleared caches on my pages and browsers and have the same problem.
    I have checked my time zone – Los Angeles – and it is correct.
    Any help you could provide would be gratefully accepted as I don’t want to change calendar plug-ins…….it has been great for many years!

    Thanks for reaching out. Yikes! That’s not good.
    I am pretty sure we can figure out what the issue is ??

    To clarify, when you say that same-day events disappear, which view are you referring to? Month? List? Day?

    Are these all-day events? I guess it would be awesome if you had an example of an event on which that happens (or maybe that is all of them)?

    As a first step, would you be able to set up a staging site copy of your site to troubleshoot without impacting your live site?

    Secondly, can you tell me what your setting is under Events > Settings > General (site-wide or manual)?

    Thirdly, are you using the latest and greatest version of WordPress?

    Finally, can you tell me if there are any customizations in place? A quick way to check this (still on the staging site) would be to use the parent theme (not the child theme) or better yet, to switch over to one of WordPress’s default theme (e.g.: twenty-twenty one)

    Hi GeoffBel – Thanks so much for your reply!

    Today I created a staging site, and I don’t know how, but all events are now behaving perfectly…. I created multiple events all with different times, and they were all showing until the end of the event.

    I don’t know if this has anything to do with it, but I reset the permalinks (just saved changes, didn’t alter anything)

    Did the same on the live site, all fine.

    I really appreciate your answering and am delighted I don’t have to change calendars, love the now look.

    I spoke too soon……
    An event I added today for today has disappeared….though the ones I added yesterday to the Staging site are still there. Or were….probably cached. I cleared the cache, then I deactivated and re-activated the plugin and they were gone. I tried the permalink refresh but that didn’t work.
    .
    The view I am referring to is the month view. However, the events don’t appear in the list or day views either.

    The events are not all-day events. They are usually 4-6 hours, Yes it happens to all of them (except yesterday!) They disappear on the day they are scheduled, usually in the morning, no matter what time they are scheduled to start.

    My staging site is https://tblackcar.com/TBCtest

    In Events>Settings>General, I have tried both. Yesterday when everything was working, I had one on my live site and the other on my staging site and they both behaved perfectly. I have the same settings now and they are not. (site-wide on live site, manual on staging site)

    In Settings>General, The time is shown as Los Angeles, which is correct, and the time and date (1pm July 7 2021 at present) are correct.

    I have a tribe-events stylesheet for my live site which is also on the staging site. There are quite a few style customizations……

    I am using WordPress 5.7.2 running Optimizer PRO Child theme (on the live site).

    I have the staging site configured with the Optimizer PRO theme, so there are no CSS changes. I tried 2021 but the calendar doesn’t show at all.

    BTW< I have the Legacy view on the live site again, you can see the past events there, and the ones that are disappearing!

    We’ve released a few plugin updates since you reported this issue. Can you please install them and check to see if you’re still experiencing the issue?
