    Hi,

    I’m having a strange bug with the checkbox “Same as delivery address”, that are not appearing checked by default. I’m using a custom register form, so I’ve tested to create a new account by the standard Woocommerce register form, so when I navigated to the checkout page after creating this account, the checkbox was checked. After some tests, I discovered that the problem occurs due the custom register form, with the name and surname fields. When is stored the names in billing and shipping addresses by the custom register form, the checkbox in checkout starts unchecked.

    I’m using the Forminator plugin to make the register form. By standard the name field in the form just store the names in the account details page, but it’s possible to store in the billing address and shipping address pages too, what make the bug appears.

    Have any solution to fix this problem, or at this moment I must disable the name storage in the address’s pages?

    Can you test it with the Forminator plugin deactivated an let us know if it works like that?

    I took some tests and I found that Forminator is not the cause of the problem. My steps to find the cause was:

    Creating a new account trough the standard WordPress register form will be stored just 3 data: username, e-mail and password. So, after register, if you go to checkout and fill the rest fields there, the checkbox “Same as delivery address” will be checked by default.

    But the problem occurs when you register and fill billing or shipping fields through my account page before starting a checkout. I’ve tested filling just the billing form, just the shipment form and both with same address and all tests had the same results. Doing this and initiate a checkout after, the checkbox “Same as delivery address” will not be checked by default.

    Hi @eolidas,

    For registered customers with shipping and/or billing addresses saved to their account, the checkbox should only be checked by default when both addresses have the exact same data, provided that that option is enabled in the plugin settings.

    1. Could you send us a screenshot of the address data you have saved for this customer?
    If you don’t want this information publicly available here, please open a new support ticket on our main support channel on our website.

    I’ll review this behavior on the plugin and let you know if this can be considered a bug, in which case we’ll fix and make an update available.
