Same Comments appear multiple times

Hi!
There is a serious problem with my blog comments. Comments that have been approved or previous comments keep coming in my pending comments tab and keep on increasing. One day i checked and there were more than 1000 comments for me to approve but all of the them were the same previous comments. They arent spam comments they are just the repitions of previous comments. I also have akismet on my blog.

Can somebody please help me. I am really worried about this.
