    Hello,

If I password protect 10 pages with the same password, will visitors have to enter it 10 times the same if they want to read those 10 pages?

    Thanks.

  • Hi John,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

If you protect 10 single pages with the same password, unlocking one of them doesn’t unlock others.

To unlock 10 protected pages at once, we have different solutions such as Parent-child protection and Master passwords.

To assist you better, may we know if you want to:

    • unlock all protected pages on your site with the same password or,
    • unlock different groups of pages with different passwords?

Thanks for your feedback. Your plugin is really impressive!

The answer to your question is: “I want to unlock?all?protected pages on my site with the same password”.

I finally tested Master Passwords and this does the job indeed. But I don’t really understand why I need to enter also a password at the protected page if I already have a master password?

Let’s say I setup as Master password that will unlock all of my 10 protected pages. Why would I use another password for those pages instead of just clicking to a button that just activates protection instead of having to use another password for them individually?

    Hi John,

Happy New Year. May the new year bless you with health, wealth, and happiness.

Just to clarify, in our PPWP Lite (Free) version, Master passwords can unlock posts only.

To unlock all protected pages on your site at once, you’ll need our PPWP Pro version.

All you need to do are:

    • Protected pages with our plugins as normal.
    • Generate Master passwords to unlock all protected pages at once. You don’t need to unlock pages separately.

Let us know if it works for you.

Many thanks for clarifying. Good to know.
My question was in fact about posts, not pages as I wrongly typed, and I finally understood that it makes sense having different passwords for different posts, even if there is a master password.

All good and best wishes to you too!
