Same Sitemap content in 2 sub sitemap files

If you notice
https://www.thechannel46.com/sitemap-misc.xml
and
https://www.thechannel46.com/sitemap-externals.xml
have the same main file – https://www.thechannel46.com/
Is this is bad for search engines? If yes how should one resolve it?
