Same URL for Post and Category

    When we have the same url for a post and a category the default seem to redirect to category instead of the post or page. Is it possible to set it back to post or past by default instead of category?

    Example:

    Post URL: https://www.mydomain.com/dog/
Category URL: https://www.mydomain.com/dog/

    Want the post page to show instead of category page.

    @imtino For redirect, it firstly checks the URL for post if it founds the match so it goes with that otherwise it search for the category.

    You have the both post and category URLs are same. So, there is some scenario in which it redirects you on the category page. Have you did some testing on it?

    @imtino I have rechecked URLs. First of all, try to avoid the same URLs.

    Secondly, if your post and category has same URL by chance so, Plugin shows you the Post page instead of category. I have created the same URL for Post and Category and made this verified with most latest version of the plugin.

    I am resolving this issue now. If you still find any issue with it so, please feel free to reopen the thread and provide some more details to me.

    I want to update you on my finding. I figure why it was redirecting to the archive categories.

    It has to do with the slug. If the slug is the same then it redirect to categories. I’ve changed the slug and it redirect to the pages or posts.
