Sample import failes

  • Sadly the “generation of a couple of sample forms to practice with” doesn’t work. It states: Sample import failed.
    Maybe you could provide the sample forms as export file to import with WordPress import tool.

    It didn’t work on different local installations but import worked on an installation that is online. So maybe that’s the problem.

    I anyway was able to import the two forms from there.

    Thanks for trying Formality, and for your feedback.

    The export file is already included in the plugin codebase (path: public/samples/data.xml)

    You can also download it from Formality repository:
    https://raw.githubusercontent.com/michelegiorgi/formality/master/public/samples/data.xml

    The samples generation link is a “shortcut” that basically:

    • Download and import that file
    • Download background images from Unsplash (if needed)

    Probably one of these operations fails on your local machine, but I can confirm that it’s not a common localhost issue.
    If you have access to your server error log, you can retry the generation, then immediately check your server error log.
