    Hi,

This plugin is so great and usable. I’m testing my site (and camptix) on a local server before I upload it to the web.

I can set up tickets perfectly, and they look great. But when I try to test purchase, I get the error “A payment error has occurred, looks like chosen payment method is not responding. Please try again later.”

I know some other people have had this issue resolved, but I can’t seem to figure out what’s wrong. Could it have anything to do with the fact that I’m on a local server?

I’ve created a PayPal developer account and received all the API details for a merchant account. I’ve copy and pasted them into the payment setup fields dozens of times and made sure sandbox mode was enabled.

Any help you can provide would be wonderful. Thanks!

Hi there! Are you sure you’ve created a Sandbox account and got your Sandbox API credentials and not your actual credentials? The sandbox checkbox will work only with Sandbox API credentials obtained at sandbox.paypal.com.

    Hi!

Yeah, I logged into sandbox.paypal.com, went to Profile > API Access > View API Signature, and copied that into the payment setup fields on my test site.

Would it be helpful if I sent you my sandbox API details?

Not really, but it would be helpful if you installed a plugin called Core Control, enabled the HTTP Logging module and figured out what the PayPal error says.

I just tested it on one of the live sites I run, and it worked perfectly. It must be some sort of error with using a local server. Hmm…

Thanks for your prompt replies and all your help, though!
