• Not sure if anyone else has thought about this, but I haven’t seen any example plugins on www.ads-software.com, nor have I seen any questions about it. It might even be better as a core consideration.

Sometimes, when I update a site, everything looks like it’s working right after the updates, but then, when I go a week later to create a post or add a menu item, I get a script error, usually because of a memory problem. Alternatively, one plugin out of 8 that get updated causes a site-wide WSOD. It’s usually because of some incompatibility with a plugin, or occasionally, because there are fundamental changes in the core that change how share-hosting memory is used.

I’d like to see some sort of “revert” button that would allow me to non-destructively revert back to a previous version of core, or to revert specific plugins back to previous versions. I’d also like to see some sort of plugin that would allow my site to check out whether, once a plugin is installed, it is likely to create memory issues or WSOD’s and automatically alerts me to the likelihood so I don’t find out a week later and then have to ferret out the problem.

    Any ideas?

    Cheers,

    Chris
