    Hello,
just another small problem. If I add a custom post title in a draft, I can’t save the post (actually a Custom post type) as a draft and I am forced to quit the post editing without saving. The only way is to do not touch the title until the post is published, thereafter I can insert the custom title without problems.

    Cheers,
    Riccardo

    Hi Riccardo,

Thank you so much for the bug report.

Could you send me some more info regarding the Custom Post Type, these are:

    1. Which plugin did you use to make the CPT?
    2. Which fields does the Post Type support, if optional through the plugin (e.g. Title, Content, Custom Fields, Excerpt, Author)?

    Thanks!

    Hi Sybre

    Thank you for your support.
    1) I use Types for CPT in combination with Advanced Custom Fields
    2) Types supported fields in that specific CPT are Title, Editor, Author, Excerpt and Thumbnail.

    Thanks!

    Hi Riccardo,

    Thanks for all the information.
I’ve added it to my to-do list for the next update; if I can’t replicate the issue I’ll post back.

    Enjoy your day! ??

    Hi Sybre,
just an update: the problem is neither related with Types nor with ACF. I have another website with the same problem (https://www.bianchinielusiardi.com)

The only plugin installed in this site is WPML, so I guess it could be related to it. The site uses WP 4.4.1 with PHP 7.

    Cheers!

    Hi Riccardo,

Are you referring to the popup message?
Then I know what you mean, it’s caused by the “settings changed” listener not resetting on draft save (only post save). Will be fixed next update!

Thank you so much for your extremely helpful bug reports! Cheers :D”

    EDIT:
The alpha is available in the link below with the fix, including many other fixes and additions. This version is not recommended to be used on any live site. Use with caution:

    Great Sybre!
I will install the alpha in the development local copies and test it! ??

    Hi Riccardo,

The issue has been resolved as of 2.5.2 and as such I’m marking this topic as resolved.

Thank you once again for the bug report, may many others find it useful! ??
