Hey team, thank you so much for the amazing plugin ??

There’s the Save Card feature that is really awesome and works like a charm, but the same isn’t implemented for SEPA payments with the IBAN numbers.

Stripe supports SEPA tokens so once it’s created there’s no reason customers should fill it again on subsequent orders. It would be a huge plus!

    Hi @buzut

Thank you for the feedback, we will make a note to look into adding a save payment method option for SEPA payments.

    Kind Regards

Thank you for getting back to me! Can’t wait this option, especially since no-one remembers their IBAN and browsers don’t support autofill for that ??

It is very useful for bigger amounts of B2B orders.

    Kind regards

    Hello @mrclayton

Sorry for my late answer, I was waiting to test it out before getting back to you!

First of all, thank for this incredible plugin and you for considering my request (it’s a huge plus for B2B, even more so as browsers don’t have an autofill feature for IBAN).

I can definitely see the save button when I enter the IBAN on checkout, but then it doesn’t appear in the saved payment methods. Is there something that I’m missing?

In any case I’m leaving a positive review right now as you guys deserve it ??

    Hi @buzut

The payment method won’t appear in the saved payment method list until after Stripe processes the payment and triggers the payment_intent.succeeded event.

This is a security measure. You don’t want to actually assign the SEPA payment method to the user until the payment method is proven to be valid.

Because SEPA is an asynchronous payment method it can take Stripe several hours/days to trigger the payment_intent.succeeded event.

    Kind Regards

This makes sense. I have just made a real payment, will keep you posted if anything.

I’ve leaved a positive review, hope it helps out.

You should see that the order’s status is on-hold and there is an order note indicating the plugin is waiting for Stripe to complete the payment.

Thank you for the great review.
