This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and switch to the default Twenty Nineteen theme. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of the problem.

If you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.

Okay, we will try this, we don’t want to remove any themes on the live website are you sure it won’t affect our live visitors? We have quite a lot of customization and integration on our current template, isn’t there any more information on the type of issue it is so we can narrow it down a little more?

Yes, the Health Check plugin only affects your session, it was designed to troubleshoot a live site without affecting visitors to the site.

That’s what Health Check’s troubleshooting mode is for, it will help you find out if a plugin is causing the problem (and which), or if it’s the theme.
