    Save user data
WP Live Chat saves the last user data. New users cannot add name / email on the same computer. You need to delete all browser history.

    Hi @hruod ,

Could you please describe a scenario in which this happens in more detail? Step by step in order for us to replicate in case this is a bug.

Hi @wp3cx. Well, I noticed this problem when I received messages from other people from the same company using another’s name / email. Even if the chat ends with me or the customer, the name / email information is still saved on the computer. So I tested the agency’s computers and found that if I don’t delete my browser history, it’s impossible to add a new name / email even if I delete the chat history in WP Live chat.

    Hi @hruod ,

The details are indeed saved in the browser and are used to pre-populate Name/Email fields in case you want initiate another chat (in most cases the same user will want to do that from the same pc/browser – unless it’s a shared pc). The cookie is valid only for a day. However even though those fields are automatically populated (given that you already had a chat), the user can still change them before initiating a new chat.

If this is what you are experiencing, it’s by design. We’ll look into this matter internally and will make adjustments in case needed.

Hi @wp3cx. When one user fills in the name / email data on a computer and another user wants to enter their data, the name and email fields do not appear, the chat opens without having to include the data. I didn’t test if after 24h the fields reappear.

Hello @hruod, in most cases, this is correct behavior. You don’t want to enter same data again and again. If chat session has not be closed (by user or by agent) by default it stays open. If you browse away from your website and then you come back, the chat session is still active. This is desiderable behavior.

Can you describe a real life scenario when this should not happen?

    All right, thank you @wordpress3cx!
