Saved the day without much trouble

I can’t imagine how much effort when into this thing.

Despite all its apparent bits and pieces, it’s pretty easy to navigate and the wizard was easy to use, easy to understand, and has a simple streamlined look.

I was actually installing it for a client, and referred him to the video here without having fully scrubbed through it myself.

I was trying to just do the username/password setup, and got failure messages, which the resulting e-mail from Google claimed were due to the application being at a lower technical standard (and of course, talking about the setting to denote if the user is okay with that).

I didn’t want to drag him through the developer’s console, but I wasn’t in a position to try to understand or diagnose what I had missed in the process that made my username/password combo go bust.

He seemed game to try it, though, the Client ID/Key way through the developer’s console, and just ran into some issues meshing how the console looks (on Google’s end, nothing the plug-in can control) against the video and the step-by-step written instructions.

When he reached a stopping point, I jumped in to try it using my own address, and it was a pretty simple setup, and I burned through the wizard very easily.

It just…works =)

Kudos for this great workaround for bunked-up e-mail situations.
