• I am working on a website build, and I’m having the weirdest issue. Whenever I edit the primary menu and save a change (Dashboard>Appearance>Menus), I am getting sent to a 404 page. The changes save though. So far, I’m only experiencing this on the primary menu.

Could the menu size be a factor in this? Unfortunately, I’m building a website for a client who refuses to listen to any advice and their primary menu is absolutely huge. At this point, I’m just an order taker and not a web designer lol. I have a feeling this is the reason but wanted to ask in case I’m missing something or something else could be causing the issue.

This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and switch to the default Twenty Twenty-One theme. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of the problem.

If you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.
