Have tried deactivating AMP and saving a post only takes a few seconds.

@daniloparrajr thanks for your topic and the details. Could you let us know:

– Does the issue happen on both posts and pages?

– Does the issue occur when you switch to a default theme?

– Are there any console errors in the browser when this occurs?

Also, if you are on the frontend and you look at the admin bar, are you able to click on the “Validate”?link under the AMP menu item? Does that take you to validation results successfully? If clicking that link takes a long time to finish loading the validation results, then this indicates a problem with validation process.

Basically, the slowness you’re experiencing is because the AMP plugin by default does that same validation process when saving a post. We are working on eliminating this behavior which you can read more about here: https://github.com/ampproject/amp-wp/issues/2069

There is a workaround plugin to prevent validation from happening during post saving: https://github.com/ampproject/amp-wp/issues/2069#issuecomment-530606886

We’re also working on providing a way to disable the DevTools (validation) on a per-user basis.

What about attempting to click the Validate link in the admin bar? What is the behavior? Does it result in the Validated URL screen being shown or an error?
