Saving password protected pages doesn’t work

    When I try to save a page with password protection, it automatically switches to public visibility after saving. It started to happens after the last WordPress update. I have the current WordPress version. Tried to disable and enable all plugins – didn’t help. This function worked on my website in the past. Is it a WordPress core bug? I tried with long passwords, short passwords, very secure passwords. Can’t save password protected page, it switches to public visibility.

    It happens with other post types too.
