• I just downloaded 3.9 15 minutes ago and seemed to be working ok. Then I went to change something in the theme editor, and the drop-downs were inoperative. I notice “Save & Publish” was illuminated and I pressed it. That is when the error message occurred. This function was working perfectly an hour ago and before the 3.9 update!

Change your theme to TwentyFourteen, just to see if that lets you do things.

    Also what theme is this?

This is Twenty-fourteen… As I stated before, the function worked perfectly 15 minutes prior to updating from 3.8.1 to 3.9. A tech needs to take a look at the code. The uri string includes the entire left side widget area. It’s as if a query string wasn’t closed in the code. Weird stuff…

First, does it work if your plugins are deactivated? If so, it would probably help to go through them one by one to figure out which one is causing the error.

If it’s still not working after that, can you please explain step-by-step how to reproduce the issue?

It would help to know from where you enter the Customizer, and what you’re choosing in what order within the Customizer before clicking “Save & Publish.”

    Thanks!

Theme editor != customizer, Shredder ??

Which one were you using? The raw HTML editor or the pretty new customizer?

(A ‘tech’ is not available, as we’re all volunteers here, and you’re using a free product. You’ll have to be a part of the debugging and testing process if you want to get anywhere)
