Savings Posts Clears Category Pages & Menu Items

    Every time I save one of my posts I find that my category pages no longer display the posts that are contained within those categories. In addition, certain items disappear from my navigational menu.

    I can add them back to the menu fine and re-saving my Permalinks than restores the posts to my category pages, but it’s really annoying.

    Does anyone have any idea why this would be happening?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    This actually did help. I found the plugin that was causing me issues. Personally, it was Wp-answers plugin. Someone else might have a different issue.

    Not sure why it didn’t occur to me to do that first. Maybe only that it took significant time to trouble-shoot each and every plugin to find the culprit.
