• The decision to charge for every little thing is getting ridiculous. I know you need to make money, but I manage a bunch of sites for charities and non-profits, and they can’t justify the cost.

Changing the stats into a subscription is the final straw. It was a poor decision considering there are excellent alternatives.

    Hi there,

I want to be sure that you know that non-profit organizations that do not solicit donations, sponsorships, dues, or memberships, Jetpack Stats can still be accessed with a pay-what-you-want option (including free). You can read more in Jetpack Stats Plan: Free or?Paid.

Could you please share your sites URLs here so that we can have a look? If you want it to remain private, you can also contact us via?contact form. If you choose to reach out directly, please include a link to this thread.

    Thank you!

The non-profits I’m involved with do solicit donations etc. Surely all non-profits do, otherwise they cannot survive?
I’m not involved with large charities or large non-profits which have become money-spinners, but local ones. The largest brings in around £32,000 year, but spends just as much each , so margins are tight. The smallest pulls in less than £1,000 a year.
I need to stress that in the ones I’m involved with, no-one receives a wage or other remuneration.

Hello @jdriver – thank you for sharing those details and the links to your websites. I’ve had a chance to review both sites, and I noticed the donation options available on each site.

I completely understand the importance of donations to support local non-profits and the incredible work you do, especially given the tight margins you mentioned. However, as per Jetpack’s terms outlined here, non-profit organizations that accept donations through their website are required to upgrade to a paid or commercial Stats plan.

I hope this clarifies things, but if you have any further questions or need assistance with the next steps, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’d be happy to help. ??
