Hello on my website I am running out of space. We have a lot of images on there. So I am trying to find room, I am trying to figure out why there is a folder in uploads called sb-instagram-feed-images with a whole bunch of images in it from the past 3 years with the bulk having a 2021 date. Hundreds of images. I only ever show 10 images at a time from instagram. I had no idea this plugin was saving the images down into my account. I thought I was looking at a feed? My Instagram feed plugin is getting a couple of years old and needs to be updated, but wondering has this been fixed, or does this plugin gradually fill up my website hosting space with images that are not current anymore? Hope I am explaining this correctly. Maybe I have a setting turned on that should not be somewhere. I have other sites using this feed that now I am worried about as maybe they are outgrowing their hosting too with images noone ever sees. If I delete the plugin will it get rid of this directory or folder? It may be easiest to delete and it and then reinstall but not if It does not delete that folder full of images.

    Hi @shelleygiese,

Thank you for contacting us! The sb-instagram-feed-images folder is used to store cached Instagram Feed Images when you have enabled the “Optimize Images” setting. You can delete all images in the folder by going to Instagram Feed > Settings > Advanced > and click “Reset” on the “Optimize Images” Section.

You can also turn off the Optimize Images setting to load images directly from Instagram instead of from your website by turning off the “Optimize Images” setting and then clicking “Save Changes” on the settings page. After turning off the setting new images will not be added to the folder.

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks! ??
