    Hy.

    I have a problem with image renaming. I had optimized images with shortpixel. Now when renaming them the suffix -scaled is added.
    For example: origin: image1.png -> destination: image.png -> result: image-scaled.png
    How can I turn off this behavior?

    By the way, I am very happy with your work. It’s a great plugin

  • Hi @webnature!

    The -scaled suffix is added by WordPress when the image is “too big”. That was introduced in WordPress 5.3, and here you have more information about that: https://make.www.ads-software.com/core/2019/10/09/introducing-handling-of-big-images-in-wordpress-5-3/

    Because of that, I don’t think this issue is related to ShortPixel or Phoenix Media Rename, so maybe you can try to disable that feature and try again? In the previous link you have the instructions on how to do so.

    Let us know how it goes, please ??

    Best,
    Alex

    Hi @webnature,
    as @shortpixel said, the -scaled suffix is added by WordPress when you upload an image larger than 2560px.

    If the filename ends with “-scaled”, Phoenix Media Rename doesn’t remove the suffix, even if you rename the file, but if you have found a bug and the suffix is added to files that doesn’t need it, let me know and I will work on a solution.

    C.
