Scan Engine Error: Wordfence could not start a scan because the cron key does no

Try two things.

On the options page try disabling config caching.

If that doesn’t help, I think checking the box next to start scans remotely has helped others.

I am also having this same issue for a couple of days now. Tried your options @wfsupport, they didn’t work.

If these don’t work, can you use the button under the scan to email yourself a detailed scan log. Send to me and make sure and reference this ticket url and your forum username.

@wfsupport so very strange. I just logged into my site and was about to follow the instructions that you left at that link and this problem looks like it has fixed itself? I do not see the message

“Wordfence Live Activity: Scan Engine Error: Wordfence could not start a scan because the cron key does not match the saved key.”

How is that possible that it fixed itself?
