• Hi, I get this error (on multiple sites) when I start a scan.

    Scan Failed
The scan has failed because we were unable to contact the Wordfence servers. Some sites may need adjustments to run scans reliably. Click here for steps you can try.

    The error returned was:

There was an error connecting to the Wordfence scanning servers: cURL error 60: SSL certificate problem: certificate has expired

Same issue ONLY on sites which are not https SSL
It is working on my one site that has SSL

Is this something I need to fix or is it a temporary issue with Wordfence?

This what I see in the diagnostic tab:
Connectivity Ability to connect to the Wordfence servers and your own site.
    Connecting to Wordfence servers (http)
    OK
    Connecting to Wordfence servers (https)
wp_remote_post() test to noc1.wordfence.com failed! Response was: cURL error 60: SSL certificate problem: certificate has expired

*** I had to go into Tools, Diagnostic tab, scroll down to Enable SSL Verification (Disable this if you are consistently unable to connect to the Wordfence servers.) and I unchecked this option and I was able to perform a scan.
Not sure if this is a fix, but I needed to do a scan and then I may put it back until Wordfence responds.

I have the same issue on some sites, turned off plug-ins to check for compatibility issues but no change.

Same problem wiht latest wordpress and all plugins update

    Same issue here

    on new installations:
Your WordPress server can’t connect to our scanning servers, or your wfConfig database table cannot be created to save the key.
You can try asking your host to allow your server to connect to noc1.wordfence.com or check the wfConfig database table and database privileges.

    on old ones
