    Hello,

I added the Security by CleanTalk plugin to my site but I am unable to finish the scan.

This is the error message I get:

    “The error occurred
Unexpected response code: 404. Error: error
    Stage: frontend_analysis”

How could I get the scan working properly?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello,

Are there any PHP errors in your webserver’s PHP logs? You can ask your hosting support about this.

    Hello,

There is one line of error in the PHP logs (I changed the username and client for privacy reasons):

    [Tue Jun 04 12:56:23.972919 2024] [:error] [pid 31500:tid 47296509646592] [client 34.xxx.158.235:55904] client denied by server configuration: /home/**username**/public_html/

Is there anything else you would like to know? Or is there some settings of Cleantalk I could try to change in order to get the scan to complete?

Could you try to disable the ‘Scan HTML code’ option here:

WordPress Dashboard -> Settings -> Security by Cleantalk -> General settings tab

    Did it help?

Yes, now I was able to complete the scan.

    Thanks!

Seems like your website user doesn’t have enough rights to access some file.
