    Hello,

Recently we found out that the complianz plugin scans the cookies of the domain name and not those of the site. The problem is that cookies appear in the cookie policy page when they are not used on the site. Does it have a way to scan only the site? Or do you have to delete the cookies not used on the site one by one?

    Thanks in advance,`

Not sure what you mean with “cookies of the domain name”. As you mention there are cookies which are not used on the site, do you maybe mean front-end used cookies versus back-end used cookies?

The scan works by visiting pages on your site, and reading the cookies that have been placed. If you think there are cookies which should not be there, I recommend to clear your browser cache, clear all cookies from the scan, then scan again.

If the back-end cookies are already described on cookiedatabase.org, they will get flagged as “administrator only”, and won’t show up on your cookie policy. You can also flag these cookies as admin only yourself, or send your info to the moderators of https://cookiedatabase.org.
