Scanned with Securi & clean – strange "ie8 wp-toolbar" text appears on each page

    I’ve noticed this happening on several sites using different themes, and my site is deemed “clean” by securi scan, but strange things are appearing at the bottom of my homepage which I think was caused by some html language being appended to my footer.php file? I’m seeing this on other WP sites also. Any ideas of what to focus on?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
