Recently I performed a scan on a website with the plugin in its original state. The scan indicates that there is a suspicious file. See the screenshot below.

    https://ibb.co/MpXys5m

    File name: /wp-content/plugins/popup-builder/public/js/PopupBuilder.js?ver=3.68.4

    Code:
    [[document.createElement’, ‘createElement’, ‘String.fromCharCode]]

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hello @thijmens,

Thank you very much for your notice.

The reason for the following code https://pastebin.com/M1jas5x5 is to prevent any malicious JS code which is not supposed to be inside the popup.
So, to cut it short, the code is written to avoid any unexpected JS functions inside the popup content.

Let us know if you have any additional questions.
