Scanning forever!

  • Wordfence Scan is loading forever and not completing for more than 2 hours now!

    i tried the following:
    1- make max_execution_time to 270 (90%) and php.ini to 300
    2- make the memory limit to 300
    3- deactivate the plugin while checking the delete data while deactivating option

    the plugin says the following
    [Mar 07 02:39:17]Scanning file contents for infections and vulnerabilities
    [Mar 07 02:39:17]Scanning files for URLs in Google’s Safe Browsing List

    and not giving any results or completing the scan!

  • Hi,
    I just want to make sure you checked these common reasons that could possibly cause this problem, if none of them helped, then please do the following:
    – “Enable debugging mode” in (Wordfence > Tools => Diagnostics).
    – Run a new scan and let me know if you can see any errors in the activity log.
    – Check the PHP version you have on the server from (Wordfence > Tools => Diagnostics).
