  • Depends. If you are scanning images as executable and files outside your wordfence folder (both on options page and described here: https://docs.wordfence.com/en/Wordfence_options ) it can take some time. However, since you were hacked I would strongly advise letting it run for a while. You might also look at changing the value here:
    https://docs.wordfence.com/en/Wordfence_options#Maximum_execution_time_for_each_scan_stage

    Try that and see if it gets better.

    I’ve been having some problems with what I think is the cache not updating and just noticed there’s a scan that’s been running for two days now:

    I’ve just killed it, but wonder if that’s been the cause of my cache problems. The issue has been manifesting itself with the GCalEvents plug-in not refreshing on the website –
