Scans won’t run on WordPress sites updated to 5.3

    We have a large number of sites running the free version of Wordfence.

    ALL of our sites ran there scheduled scans yesterday (Nov 12) with NO problem.

    Tried to run manual scans on several sites after updating to WordPress 5.3 and get the error:

    Scan Failed
    The scan has failed to start. This is often because the site either cannot make outbound requests or is blocked from connecting to itself

    NO changes, beyond updating WordPress, have been made to the sites OR the server since they ran their scheduled scans yesterday. And “connecting to self” has NOT been blocked.
