• Hi,
I’m having problems with my site in IE7 and after some research here I have run a validation check and found 6 errors, 1 warning. So I assume this explains the way the site looks in IE.

Now I’m scared, I don’t know anything about codes/htlm. There must be others out there that have hit this wall as a novice to wordpress. So please tell me what do I do now. This is all so much harder that I imagined!
    Thanks for any help.

  • IE7 is notorious for misbehaving. The errors may have nothing (or everything) to do with it. You might get some help if you post a link to the site where the errors can be examined.

Also, please try to describe what the problem is in IE7.

    Hi,

There are still lots of errors on the site in IE7.

    1. The background is not full screen as it should be (using Background Mgr plugin)
    4. All the widgets don’t look like they should for this theme
    5. The images used on the ‘products’ page are showing a white background even though the are transparent .png files
    6. Even the footer looks a bit odd

I don’t know where to even start!!
    Thanks for any help.

I don’t believe the HTML errors are causing the problems. I think it is just the common problems of IE7.

Unfortunately, I do not have the experience with IE7 to suggest any fixes.

I do know that IE7 does not support the background-size property that is being used on your background. If you do a Google search on ‘background-size IE7’, you will find many articles about this problem.
